Ridiculously underrated and almost as ridiculously reclusive producer Accident will get his due thusly. Alternately an engineer, producer and audio manipulator, Accident has already worked in a disparate group of music: from dub to experimental electronic, to psych-ed out black rock to underground hip-hop. Although not as well known as some of his contemporaries, his work has bridged a number of communities and he continues to work on his craft despite a dearth of recognition.

Dub Kinetics- Zion Rock (Accident Mix) (original version heard on Jazz- A Compilation)
An alternate mix of the classic dub track Zion Rock by the now defunct (at least in the incarnation heard here with Create (!)'s Steve Richardson on drums and Action League's Rodi Delgadillo on keys) Dub Kinetics. A fantastic track with a little Accident-al spice for good measure.

Bizzart- Wax (Accident Reconstruction) (originally released on L.A. Approach 12")
Here Accident remixes his own production from Bizzart's Ear Drung. Full of electric guitars and live drum shards. An instrumental that actually is a thorough reconstruction not just a replay minus vocals.

Acid Reign- Visual Exploration (originally released on Ready Yet?)
Another permutation of Accident's production prowess sees him lending synth-beat straw mush and drum/rhodes sample smash to legendary L.A. underground innovators Acid Reign. A hidden gem with equally amazing lyrical 1-2-3 punch from Be-Ond, Olmeca and Gajah.

S.O.N.- Basking in the Son (unreleased)
This perversely rare track is first known appearance of Accident along with sometimes partner Random Chance. Beautifully lo-fi, psychedelic rock complete with lazy electric bass, single-mic'ed drums and wah-ed out electric guitar. So GOOD!

Organized Konfusion- In Vetro (from Accident Sings!- Organized Konfusion's The Equinox)
I think this might be the only unreleased album that Sounds Are Active was ever scheduled to put out. Basically Accident approached us with an idea to recontextualize Organized Konfusion's sometimes brilliant The Equinox. We even assigned it a catalog number (SAA1104). However we never released it. What was sent to us was more of a micro-edited, profanity and sketch free version of the the 15+ track album whittled down to six tracks. Some tracks have been turned into instrumentals and others featured slighted augmented tracks but ultimately it turned out not to be a sellable album.

Create (!) Vs. Accident- Seahorse Posing As Colourform (from Soul-Junk's 1937)
Most recently Accident teamed up with Create (!) to massacre Soul-Junk's beloved "Horse Posing As Unicorn" from 1957. Apparently allowing the vocals to dictate the tempo all parts Create (!) were seemingly cut-up and placed along a non-linear pattern which both accentuates and obfuscates Galaxalag's coughed up rhymes.

awesome! i really like accident's work and i have always wanted to hear more. Thank you.

Now only 2 questions remain: [1] Who is this mysterious music maker? and [2] When can we expect Accident to release an album of beats a la his Miniature Crisis track?

~This stuff is got me goin'! Sounds like they had a lot of fun making it. I'm going to start trying to "deconstruct" some of the junk I've been messing with, now. I heard some FireFly in the back of the wax remix. Lovely, lovely noise and music.
